Terms & Conditions

Introduction

Walkie Dogs is a weekly dog walking club which is volunteer led with walks taking place every Sunday across the UK. We are fully inclusive where people of all abilities and backgrounds are able to participate by walking and volunteering.

Walkie Dogs events are socially-focussed and community-led, focusing on the social experience, ‘starting together and finishing together’ rather than performance, and our mission is to create the UK’s biggest social dog walking club.

Membership

A Walkie Dogs Membership is required to have access to the weekly events and also benefit from the discounted retail store. You will be required to fill a membership form and a health questionnaire allowing Walkie Dogs to gather important information about you, the other humans and dog/s.

Events

These terms and conditions are specifically in relation to online registration for participation of all Walkie Dogs events. By submitting your registration details via our online registration page you are agreeing to take part in Walkie Dogs events and agree to these terms and conditions.

We recommend that all dogs are fully vaccinated, micro-chipped and regularly treated for fleas, ticks and worms.

Kennel cough vaccination for dogs is highly recommended.

If a dog suffers from Kennel cough, Walkie Dogs reserve the right to not accept you and your dog on the walk until he/she has reached a recovery stage.

In the event of an emergency, Walkie Dogs will contact your ‘in case of emergency’ contact as soon as possible to inform of any incident.

Walkie Dogs takes no responsibility for any dogs and each owner is responsible for their own dog.

Walkie Dogs will not cover vet bills and we advise your dog is fully insured.

If your dog suffers from aggressive behaviour or represents a risk to public safety, Walkie Dogs will decline to accept you on the walks.

Please note that in the unfortunate event of a dog attack, whether a member’s dog is the aggressor or a member of the public, Walkie Dogs bears no responsibility to any costs incurred.

Should your dog impregnate or be impregnated by another dog while under our supervision, Walkie Dogs bears no responsibility for any consequences including any financial damages.

Each walk will last an hour from arrival at the park. All walks are on a Sunday at 10am.

Walkie Dogs will not be responsible for any damage caused by dogs or humans participating the park or public property. Walkie Dogs will not be responsible for the loss of harnesses and collars during the walks.

Walkie Dogs bookings will open 7 days before the event, to avoid any disappointment book as soon as possible, there are limited spaces per location.

If you require last minute care, Walkie Dogs will endeavour to accommodate your pet’s requirements.

Walk and visit cancellation can only be made 48 hours in advance.

If a cancellation occurs under the 48 hours requested, full payment is still required.

If you decide you no longer require a membership with Walkie Dogs, please provide two weeks written notice before your automatic renewal of your membership.

Walkie Dogs have full liability insurance and all volunteers are DBS checked.
